Introduction of an employee shareholding into Koios consulting Ltd. necessitated a development of a light application intended for internal stock trading. Driven by curiosity, we have built the APEX PL/SQL application by the utilization of a blockchain paradigm, ensuring transparency and durability of transactions. Rather modest transformation of a trading process into a linked interrelated chain of data (i.e. blockchain) will be presented. By parsing the blockchain, one may verify transactions history at any moment, making this approach feasible for modelling other business processes which require transparency and mutual consent.

Vedran Vrbanić, author
Vedran Vrbanić, PhD, works as a data warehouse architect in banking industry on Oracle platform since 2007. Interested in design of BI decision support systems, ontology assisted and semantic-enhanced data management. Team member on numerous projects, exercising various assignments regarding business analysis; design of DWH enterprise models and data marts; development/optimization of ETL procedures and frameworks employed for internal, external, regulatory reporting, measurement and supervising of credit risk exposures. He is an Oracle Database 11g Data Warehousing Certified Implementation Specialist, Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate and Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate.
